Residential Treatment

Serenity House provides residential treatment at both our Abilene and Fredericksburg locations. For many patients residential treatment is ideal, because it allows the individual to focus entirely on the recovery process. Treatment at Serenity generally lasts between 14 and 35 days, though the time can vary depending on a patient’s individual needs.

A typical day as a patient at Serenity House looks something like the table to the right.

6:00 - 6:30 AM Wake up and get ready Noon - 12:30 PM Lunch
6:30 - 7:00 AM Breakfast 12:30 - 1:15 PM Personal time
7:00 - 8:00 AM Work detail, personal time 1:15 - 2:15 PM Lecture/group
8:00 - 8:30 AM Morning group meditation 2:30 - 3:30 PM Lecture/group
8:30 - 8:45 AM Personal time 3:30 - 4:00 PM Symbolic release of character defects
8:45 - 9:45 AM Lecture/group 4:00 - 5:00 PM Completion ceremony or counseling
10:00 - 11:00 AM Lecture/group 5:30 - 6:00 PM Dinner
11:00 - Noon
